Six Steps to Strategic Marketing Success

These days there seems to be a six step process for everything. Six steps to making good decisions; to secure your financial future; to find true love.  Even the five-step process of grief has expanded to include a sixth step with “shock” now preceding “denial,” “anger,” “bargaining,” “depression,” and “acceptance.”

So, what gives? Is six some cosmic number written in the Triangulum Galaxy? My magic eight ball says “definitely no!” The reality is that creating, following and clearly communicating a process can be enormously valuable to everyone involved. When you can break complex functions into a reasonable number of focused steps, you can better outline expectations, have a clear view of timing, and more closely predict results.

That’s why we translated our foundation building marketing program into the Longview Strategies’ Accelerator process: it gives us and our clients a clearer understanding of how we kickstart or refocus their marketing efforts.

In the spirit of illustrating my six-steps-to-solving-the-world’s-problems point, here are six questions you should ask yourself before determining whether the Accelerator is right for you.

  1. Do you believe that marketing a key pillar to the success of your business?
  2. Do you struggle to translate marketing strategy and ideas into action?
  3. Are you willing to invest the necessary resources to do get the job done right?
  4. Is the cost of doing nothing greater than the cost of those resources?
  5. Are you ready to amplify your unique brand within your competitive landscape?
  6. And finally, what’s 3 + 3? (That’s right. Success.)

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then Longview Strategies could be a great partner for you.  Let us know if you want to talk more about how we can take your marketing efforts from 0 – 60 in, well, just a few steps. Here’s the first one.
